Defining Admire
Two of the definitions of the word “admire” are:
1. To regard with wonder or delight
2. To consider with an inspired heart
It is my dearest wish that the photography created by Admire Studios will be loved and admired, will create inspiration and pleasure for my clients. I firmly believe that photography is not just about producing products, but creating memories, and the photographer is a part of the process of memory creation in some of the most important situations in our lives. I choose to offer photography as an experience for my clients, as well as offering final images that I hope will be admired. I am also committed to a “no obnoxious fine print” policy with pricing, and flexibility in packages to ensure that my clients aren’t pigeonholed into anything they don’t want. ALL clients will receive a DVD of their images as part of their package – I believe that in the digital age, clients should expect nothing less from any professional photographer.
How can a person define their business? When looking for a job, a person offers a resume to a potential employer. Consider this blog and its contents as the cover letter for Admire Studios, and the website it’s resume: including an extensive portfolio and references from previous customers. If you are pleased with what you see, I would encourage you to contact me so we can meet in person for an interview.
Admire Studios is owned by myself, Twyla Lapointe (previously Twyla Toews), and it is my business and my passion. I truly enjoy my work and offer extensive experience in both the photographic and design fields.
I hope you enjoy this blog, a further way to define what Admire Studios means to the people who choose to develop a relationship with us.
Artist Biography
I come from a family whose members all have their own particular kind of artistic flair and I am no exception.
Growing up in a family of artists can sure give a person a unique perspective on life, and that’s my story. I learned that I don’t have to stay in the box – and Admire Studios, my artistic endeavor, is proof. Admire was born from my three loves – fine art, graphic design, and photography.
My designs, art, and photography are full of the vibrant color of life, and each design and photographic process I tackle is completely unique – a partnership with the people I’m working with or in tune with the timing of nature.
If what you’re looking for in life is something out of the ordinary, I’d love to be a part of that journey with inspiring art, personalized portraiture, and graphic design.
I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours degree with Distinction from the U of S in 2009. My portfolio has grown at a fast pace since 2007, when I began working in a professional capacity part time while in University. My photographic style is very personalized, and I am a bit of a chameleon when it comes to abilities in copying styles for both photography and design. I hope you like my work!
